Off to the Badlands

October 3, 2020 Our first scenic overlook. The beginning of the Badlands. Fewer farms, sandy soil, and a hillier landscape. We actually took a little hike!

What a fun day. I had my first bison burger which tasted like hamburger. Every hill we went over the landscape colors changed. The water was a beautiful blue

Both Randy and enjoyed exploring the badlands grey rock called Pierre (peer) Shale which is rich with fossils.
We saw prairie dogs, bison (up close—almost too close), a Doe that was too quick for me to shoot, and a big horned sheep simply sunning on the side of the road.  Quite fun.
Tonight the plan is to go to a Nepalese restaurant. Yum. Stay tuned for a food  critique.
